Joe and mikal are foster-brothers in a small city in pakistan. joe is a medical student who has been married for a year and mikal is a drifter in love with a women he can't have. after 9/11 as the conflict intensifies in afghanistan, joe decides to secretly enter the country to help care for the wounded, and mikal goes with him, but can their good intentions keep them out of harm's way. left behind is their family, and at it's heart their blind father who is haunted by the death of his wife and the mistakes he has made in his life. the blind man's garden is an evocative and powerful portrait of ordinary pople torn apart by war.
